O’Melveny has added two experienced pan-Asia transactional lawyers Stephanie Keen and Sylvia Taslim in the firm’s Singapore office as partners in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, further bolstering the firm’s cross-border capabilities while also expanding its capacity across Asia. Together, Keen and Taslim are internationally recognized for their strategic M&A and private equity expertise. Their work spans a vast array of industries that align with the firm’s strengths, including the technology, consumer and energy sectors. They come from the Singapore office of Hogan Lovells, where they practiced together in the Corporate and Finance Practice. Keen held senior leadership roles there, including head of the Asia-Pacific Private Equity Practice and Corporate and Finance Practice. Keen is recognized as one of Singapore’s premier M&A and private equity lawyers. For nearly three decades, she has advised corporations, lenders and mid-market private equity sponsors on leveraged buy-outs, cross-border transactions, M&A, equity offerings and corporate restructurings in jurisdictions across the globe. Keen earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Law from St. John’s College at the University of Cambridge, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the York College of Law. She is a member of the Singapore Venture Capital Association, the Asian Venture Capital Association, and the Singapore Law Society. Taslim has advised clients on cross-border M&AA, joint ventures, public takeovers, private equity transactions and venture capital investing for nearly two decades. She is particularly skilled in energy M&A transactions, and she has extensive experience in first-of-its-kind transactions in emerging markets. Taslim earned her LLB in Laws from the National University of Singapore, and she is a member of the Singapore Law Society.
