Gadens has appointed Brihony Boan as a partner in its Melbourne Property, Construction & Planning team. She joins from K&L Gates, where she has practiced for 10 years. Boan’s practice encompasses all aspects of property development transactions, commercial and residential contracts of sale, distressed asset sales and significant acquisitions and disposals of land, mostly in relation to development sites. She has particular expertise in urban mixed use and “off the plan” developments and vacant land sub-divisions. Boan mainly acts for property developers, corporate advisors and lending institutions. Her clients have included Hengyi Australia, ING REDA Holdings, Villa World Developments, Eureka Funds Management, Arno Corp, KordaMentha and PPB Advisory.


K&L Gates has boosted its Hong Kong corporate practice with the addition of Carolyn Sng as a partner. She joins from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. With deep experience in the Hong Kong and Asia regional market, Sng concentrates in capital markets and M&As. She also acts for underwriters, investment banks and large corporations, both public and private, on restructurings, corporate finance and private equity deals. Sng has more than 15 years of experience advising on major transactions throughout the region.



Rajah & Tann (Thailand) has added David Gibbons as a partner in the firm’s Bangkok office with effect from 1 April 2015. Gibbons is a New York-qualified corporate lawyer with over 20 years of experience on cross border M&A transactions, private equity deals, venture capital investments and capital markets offerings. He has worked as a Director in the legal department of Temasek Holdings and in the Singapore offices of top US law firms. He has also worked in-house with GE Capital, where he was seconded as Asian Transactional Counsel. Gibbons started his career in Thailand where he worked for over seven years with leading local law firms.
