Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has appointed Lisa Yano as co-managing partner of the Tokyo office and as co-managing partner of Morgan Lewis–TMI (the firm’s joint venture in Japan with TMI Associates). Yano, who has practiced in Tokyo for more than 15 years, has represented Japanese companies in a broad range of cross-border corporate and financing transactions. She also regularly assists US and other overseas companies in their activities in Japan. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, financing, and intellectual property transactions.
Simmons & Simmons has reappointed senior associate David Ip to its Hong Kong office. Ip specialises in property and rejoined the China Corporate Group in late February. He worked at Simmons & Simmons from 2005 to 2006 and was one of the lawyers who left the firm to join Fried Frank in January. |
