Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe has welcomed Jeffrey Sun Jie as a partner in its China Corporate Group. Sun will be based in Orrick’s Shanghai office. With over a decade of experience in representing Chinese and multinational companies from multiple industries, including consumer and retail, financial services, life sciences, renewable energy and technology, Sun’s practice focuses on capital markets, private equity investments, cross-border mergers & acquisitions and foreign direct investment financing transactions. Sun received his LL.B from Fudan University, Shanghai and his LL.M from Columbia University School of Law where he graduated as a James Kent Scholar. He holds a Chinese Lawyer’s Qualification Certificate and is admitted to the New York Bar. Prior to joining Orrick, Sun worked with a major international law firm and he was a former partner in a local law firm based in Shanghai. |
