| DLA Piper has appointed Steven Liu, a leading venture, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets lawyer, as partner in the firm’s Beijing office. Liu joins DLA Piper from the Beijing office of Heller Ehrman, where he was a partner and member of the firm’s Asia Business Practice. He began his career at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he spent eight and half years. With strong ties to Silicon Valley, the hub for US venture capital and technology, Liu has extensive experience practising law in the US as well as China. He also has substantial experience representing emerging growth/start-up companies, mature public companies, investment banks and venture capital funds on a range of corporate legal transactions that include venture capital and PIPE financings, M&A transactions, and initial public offerings. Liu is a member of the State Bar of California and a registered broker with NASD (inactive). He earned his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and his BA from the University of California at Berkeley. |
