On 9 October, Taylor Wessing and Indonesian firm Hanafiah Ponggawa & Partners (HPRP) announced the launch of their partnership in Jakarta. For the international firm, the collaboration signals an intention to augment its presence in Asia.

Tan Chong Huat, Managing Partner of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP commented that the partnership would “give a tremendous boost to [their] regional Southeast Asian practice” and that “the new arrangement would bring about greater integration” in their practices and additionally raise their “capabilities to a higher level.”

Taylor Wessing specialises in TMT, life sciences, private wealth and energy and has offices in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. HPRP has had a long-standing presence in Indonesia having been on the ground since 1953 and the firm’s leading areas of practice include intellectual property, labour and employment, natural resources, litigation, capital markets amongst others.
