A recent survey conducted by international legal recruiter Laurence Simons has revealed that many law departments anticipate adding to their headcounts leading into 2011. The Europe, Middle East & Africa Law Department Benchmark Survey 2009 canvassed departments from leading industries across the region. In general, departments appeared to be hiring in the countries where their headquarters are based, with notable hiring countries including Italy, Russia, Turkey, Austria and Spain.
