In a move indicative of the firm’s aggressive growth targets in Asia, Eversheds has announced six lateral partner hires to its Hong Kong office. Five banking and litigation partners from DLA Piper; King Tak Fung, Michael Yau, Ivan Ng, Ronald Sum and William Leung have been recruited to join the firm’s recently established office. In addition, Stephen Mok, corporate partner from Fried Frank, will join the firm in the coming months. Managing director Nick Seddon called the hires a ‘major coup’ for the firm, which has seen the opening of two regional offices, in Hong Kong and Singapore, in the last six months.
