Clyde & Co and Indonesian firm LGS have tied the knot by establishing an association. The association was announced on 2nd September and the relationship is being helmed by Clyde & Co’s Michael Horn.

The partnership is a strategic one given that the firms’ areas of expertise coalesce and these include focusses on the marine, energy, infrastructure, commodities and disputes sectors. The firms intend to home in on specifically disputes, compliance and regulatory matters.

Michael Parker, Asia Managing Partner of Clyde & Co commented that LGS was an ideal partner because the firm “was an established leading practice” with specialities that mirrored its own, and because of the “firm’s history and vision.”

LGS Managing Partner, M Idwan Ganie stated that “both firms were established, forward-looking sector specialists fully immersed in their clients’ industries.” He also commented on the fact that “Indonesian business was increasingly engaging beyond Indonesian borders” and that the association “would offer the right combination of international and local reach.”
