Poising itself for what Asia practice head Rocky Lee believes to be an uptick in expansion in the securities market, the Hong Kong office of U.S. based Cadwalader secured the talents of three heavyweight capital markets lawyers from Jones Day this week. Previously head of their capital markets team at Jones Day, Jeffrey Maddox joins the Cadwalader team in Hong Kong along with partners David Neuville and Joseph Lee. Despite the securities field taking a beating generally in 2008 following the financial crisis, the team at Cadwalader believes that interest in the securities market in Hong Kong will blossom. The new recruits have between them formidable experience and an impressive reach into the Asia Pacific markets.
