Hogan Lovells has entered into a formal association with Mongolian full-service firm GTs Advocates LLC, which provides legal advice to Mongolian companies as well as multinational corporations, investment banks, private equity firms and funds from North America, Europe and Asia, and has been recognised for its expertise in mining, banking and infrastructure.

Hogan Lovells has acted for clients on diverse foreign direct investment and projects in the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors in Mongolia since 1990, when the country made the transition to democracy, and with partner Michael Aldrich residing in Ulaanbaatar can now claim to be the only global law firm with a full-time presence in the country.

According to Aldrich, who has been seconded to GTs since April 2009, “Mongolia’s rich natural resources give the country an extraordinary opportunity to fulfil its ambitious plans to develop its industrial infrastructure and social fabric…. We are delighted to be able to affirm our commitment to the country and the legal profession in Mongolia through our association with GTs Advocates.”
