A group of lawyers from Phuoc & Partners have established a new law firm in Vietnam, led by former managing partner Nguyen Gia Huy Chuong.

Global Vietnam Lawyers started operating on September 1. Chuong is joined by Dinh Quang Thuan, Tran Thanh Tung, Luong Van Ly, Nguyen Duc Hieu, Le Quang Vy and Nguyen Van Quynh, who were all partners at Phuoc & Partners, while Hoang Quoc Nhat Trung has been promoted to partner at the new firm.

The new firm will offer a full range of services, including both transactional and litigation matters across tax, corporate, labour and employment, merger and acquisitions, real estate, infrastructure, marine and shipping, intellectual property, trade, investment, education, civil matters and migration.

“We are strongly committed to serving our clients, both local and foreign, with the best expertise in Vietnam’s laws and in line with the globally accepted standards of involvement, professionalism and moral probity,” the firm said in a statement.

“Our ultimate target is making Vietnam a safer place for them to make money. To our business partners we pledge loyal and long-term cooperation in order to achieve the jointly determined targets.”

Chuong co-founded Phuoc & Partners in 2006 with tax lawyer Phuoc Nguyen, who has established a new firm of his own, Phuoc & Associates.
