Stamford Law has appointed Adrian Tan as a director in the dispute resolution team. Tan, who was a key part of Drew & Napier’s litigation team, brings two decades of experience and expertise to the firm. He is a well-known and formidable player in Singapore’s litigation scene and his cases are widely reported. He is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales, and to the Singapore Bar. He was the former general counsel of Crimsonlogic Pte Ltd, a Singapore government-linked IT company, and he continues to maintain a strong practice in IT disputes. In addition, Tan has a wide spectrum of experience ranging from defamation, intellectual property disputes such as trademark and copyright infringement to professional negligence and corporate disputes including a well-publicised minority-oppression action by founders of a restaurant chain against a public-listed company, as well as white collar crime.

Taylor Wessing has appointed Habib Ullah to be assigned in Dubai as head of the firm’s Middle East banking practice. He spent the first ten years of his career in the firm’s London office before joining Nabarro as a partner to establish their Islamic finance practice. Ullah acts for a wide range of international and local banks and other financial institutions based both in Europe and the Middle East.
