Baker & McKenzie has bolstered its Sydney tax practice with the addition as partner of Dixon Hearder. He joins from Corrs Chambers Westgarth where he was a partner and Sydney taxation work group leader. Dixon has extensive experience advising Australian and international clients on Australian taxation laws, with particular expertise in stamp duty and transfer pricing. He holds Bachelors of Commerce and Law from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Laws from the University of Sidney and is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP has strengthened its Asian practice with the addition as partners of two prominent securities lawyers as the firm transitions to a Hong Kong law practice: Antony Dapiran is a leading corporate lawyer in China who was previously managing partner of the Beijing office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He has advised on some of the largest and most complex IPOs in the China market as well as on inbound and outbound M&A and private equity transactions. His recent transactions include advising Agricultural Bank of China on its US$22 billion IPO and the underwriters on the IPO of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. He serves as counsel to a number of Fortune China 100 companies on regulatory, compliance and general corporate matters. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. |
