Bertie Mehigan has joined the Singapore office of O’Melveny & Myers, bringing more than 20 years of experience in banking, financial, and investment transactions, with a focus on cross-border financing, restructuring, and investment transactions, principally in Asia. He has represented creditors and debtors in financial transactions across Asia, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, India, China, Pakistan, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Mehigan’s recent work has focused on complex debt restructuring and related transactions. He is admitted as an Irish Solicitor as well as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, and has practised in Dublin, London, and Bahrain, as well as in Singapore.
The Singapore office of O’Melveny & Myers also welcomes new partner Huey Yann. Yann has more than 13 years of experience advising major financial institutions and corporations on cross-border transactions across Asia, including China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Her practice focuses on banking, structured finance, project finance, debt restructuring, and foreign investment. Yann is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Gregory D Puff has rejoined Shearman & Sterling LLP in Hong Kong as a partner. Puff, an associate at the firm from 1993 to 2002, most recently served as a partner and head of M&A-Asia at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was involved in a wide array of public and private mergers and hostile transactions, stock and asset purchases, and joint ventures. He regularly represents multinational corporations and global investment and commercial banking firms in their M&A transactions around the world, with particular focus on deals in China, Japan and throughout Asia. |
